Every Super League club’s average attendance of the 2022 season

Rugby league fans love a good statistic – especially when it involves their own team.

Well, the 2022 Super League season has been one of full of twists and turns as we head into the Grand Final clash between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens this weekend.

There has been rip-roaring entertainment, incredible skill and brilliant passion on display throughout the year, but just how much have fans bought into the season?

In alphabetical order, Castleford Tigers have had a total of 98,058 people at their 13 home games, making an average of 7,542 with an attendance high of 10,500.

Next up is the Catalans Dragons who accumulative number sits at 104,894 with an average of 8,068 but a high of 10,260.

Huddersfield Giants’ numbers are steadily improving under Ian Watson following a great year and they averaged 5,144 with an overall number of 66,884 and a high of 6,712.

Despite their bad form and ninth-place finish, Hull FC again showed their might with an average of 10,771 and an overall number of 140,023 and a high of 16,999.

Their bitter rivals Hull KR managed to break the six-figure mark with 101,253 fans flocking to Craven Park in 2022, but their average was 7,788 with a high of 10,300.

Out in the lead with a total of 168,232 is the Leeds Rhinos whose numbers have been brilliant all year with an average of 12,940 and a high of 15,418.

Salford Red Devils were the team with the lowest attendance numbers overall with a total of 58,888, an average of 4,529 and a high of 6,041.

St Helens are next in line with a total of 154,123 and an average of 11,701 and a high of 17,980.

For their first season in the top flight, Toulouse Olympique enjoyed success with an overall attendance of 64,579, an average of 4,967 and a high of 9,165 when French rivals Catalans Dragons rode into town.

Wakefield Trinity endured a difficult year with a total of 59,991 fans inside Belle Vue which gave an average of 4,614 with a high of 7,046.

Despite their shocking form in 2022, Warrington Wolves did still yield good numbers with a total of 115,083, an average of 8,852 and a high of 10,476.

And, last but not least, the Wigan Warriors posted some impressive numbers in 2022, not least their average of 12,280 and a total of 159,623. The Lancashire club’s highest attendance figure was 19,210 when St Helens rocked up to the DW Stadium.
