Eorl Crabtree issues public apology to Hull FC’s Jake Connor

It might seem like a title that you probably thought would never happen, but Eorl Crabtree has done just that.

After tipping Hull FC to come unstuck against Salford Red Devils last week, the former Huddersfield Giants and England forward has apologised to Jake Connor.

FC thrashed Salford, with the Hull fullback enjoying a superb display with six assists and one try.

“I have to make a public apology,” Crabtree said in his Our League prediction. “Last week I went against Hull FC and I got a message off Jake Connor.

“Jake gave me a little bit of stick about getting that prediction incorrect and he said I should expect a masterclass – and he was right.

“He did put on a masterclass with some great tries and assists as well and to be fair – in all honesty and in my defence – I’m so used to seeing Jake banned that I didn’t expect him to be playing.

“That’s my mistake – well done, Jake, well done on the victory.

“For Castleford Tigers versus Hull FC, I’m going to have to go with Jake the Snake – Hull FC.”

Hull take on former head coach Lee Radford who is now in charge of the Tigers, but he has endured a difficult start with three losses in a row.
