England football legend Stuart Pearce set for evening at the Warrington Wolves

The Halliwell Jones Stadium will play host to England football legend Stuart Pearce in the new year.

Fans will have the chance to attend and quiz Pearce on his career and life as a Wire fan in the build up to the new Super League season.

Pearce featured for many teams during his impressive career, retiring at Manchester City, but not before playing for Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and also West Ham United.

Perhaps best known for his 1990 World Cup penalty miss and then his 1996 Euros redemption, Pearce also coached in the game and understands the high level of international sport.

Twice a semi-finalist with the national team, Pearce was a playing member of two of the most successful English teams since the boys of 1966 and prior to this current crop who made last year’s Euro 2020 final.

Pearce is a huge rugby league fan and has supported Warrington Wolves for many years, so the evening will be special for himself and all attending fans.

He will appear before supporters on Friday 20th January and the evening will be hosted by compere Pete Emmett, who will facilitate questions and stories in what’s sure to be an entertaining evening.
