Herbie Farnworth was sensational on Saturday.
As England came up short in the Rugby League World Cup semi-final against Samoa, Farnworth came up with two moments of magic to send the game to Golden Point as he scored two top notch tries in the sensational World Cup semi-final.
Farnworth has starred for Brisbane Broncos in recent years but has links to some of the biggest sporting institutions in England in the shape of Manchester United and Wigan Warriors.
Farnworth has entered the last 12 months of his deal which means as of the 1st of November he could negotiate with other clubs which is the same for fellow England stars Tom Burgess and ex-Huddersfield Giants man Dom Young.
However, Farnworth is set to command offers of $800,000 according to Fox League which is around £450,000.
This means Brisbane will likely find it hard to keep him with so many big earners already at the club.
Thus, a move looks likely.
Farnworth has been linked with Sydney Roosters whilst NRL new club The Dolphins have also been tipped as potential suitors as has Canterbury Bulldogs due to their need for a fullback and Farnworth’s ambitions to play one.
It will be interesting to see where Farnworth will end up in 2024 and beyond. However, a move to Super League any time soon seems unlikely.
