Disciplinary: Saints pair escape bans, Hill cautioned

St Helens duo Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Matty Lees will face no further disciplinary action after their yellow cards against Castleford on Sunday.

The Match Review Panel found that both offences were not worthy of any further punishment with the in-game sin-bins deemed sufficient.

Elsewhere, Warrington forward Chris Hill has been given a caution for dangerous contact during their victory over Hull on Thursday night.

Hill was cited for his tackle on Marc Sneyd in the 13th minute of Wire’s 38-4 win at the KCOM Stadium but has avoided a suspension.

He will therefore be free to play in the Wolves next match when rugby league resumes play next month.

Following today’s news of a season suspension amid the coronavirus outbreak, Super League is scheduled to return on Friday 3rd April (subject to change).
