On Thursday night, Chris Hill made his 500th career appearance and what a game it was to achieve a landmark in.
Hill figured as his Huddersfield Giants side stole a point from Leeds despite trailing 20-10 with 150 seconds of the game left.
The point leaves Huddersfield fourth knowing that win over Champions St Helens on Easter Monday could trim the gap to top spot down to just one point.
Hill has been central to Huddersfield’s success so far this season and has rediscovered his best form since joining the Giants from Warrington where he spent most of his career after debuting with Leigh.
Back to his best with Huddersfield, Hill has promised that there’s more to come from him despite reaching 500 games on Thursday night.
Hill said as such on Twitter whilst thanking everyone who has played a part in his career: “Absolutely overwhelmed with the messages and videos I received. Want to thank everyone who’s been part of that 500 games from players, coaches, kit men and physios but most of all my family and my wife Kath who’s been by my side for everyone. Here’s to a few more.”

Hill achieved the privilege of lifting the Challenge Cup trophy in 2019 as Warrington skipper and won the competition in 2012 as well. That year he played in his first Grand Final and has played in three since then.
An England international as well, there have been calls for him to be recalled by Shaun Wane to the national squad as he hopes to make another final with Huddersfield as the Giants prepare for a Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull KR.
