Castleford Tigers make an identity appeal following incident at Hull KR

Castleford Tigers have appealed for witnesses in their fight to identify fans away at Hull KR.

The club posted this on Twitter: “Castleford Tigers would like assistance in identifying the people highlighted in these images in relation to the fixture at Hull KR on Friday, 25th February 2022. If you can assist then please contact info@castigers.com.”

The Robins released this statement a day after: “Following an incident in the away section of the stadium and car park, the club are reviewing all footage supplied by supporters, along with stadium CCTV, and other intelligence to submit a full report to the local authorities, RFL and Castleford Tigers.

“At the beginning of the year, the club outlined a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour, and this will extend to away supporters who do not follow their team to Sewell Group Craven Park in the spirit of the family Rugby League atmosphere.

“Supporters are reminded they represent the club at home, and on the road, and we thank them for their continued cooperation.

Castleford released this statement: “Following an incident in the away section and car park of Sewell Group Craven Park on Friday, 25th February 2022, Castleford Tigers are reviewing footage supplied by supporters, along with stadium CCTV, and other intelligence to submit a full report to the local authorities, The RFL and Hull KR.

“The Club greatly appreciates the support of Tigers fans at home and away games, but Castleford Tigers will not accept any anti-social behaviour towards our own fans, other supporters, or matchday staff at any rugby league venue.

“The Club will make no further comment at this time.”
