Lee Radford has confirmed that he has brought in two new players ahead of the 2022 Super League season.
Though unlikely to be first-teamers in 2022, halfback George Collins has signed from Huddersfield Giants and Ryan Morley from Hull FC.
Collins is highly-rated, but has been let go by the Giants due to a conglomerate of halfbacks currently in front of him whilst Morley is also a playmaker.
Radford spoke in his first pre-match press conference as he aims to take charge of the Tigers for the first time agains the York City Knights on Sunday, confirming the two signings.
“George Collins and Ryan Morley have joined the club, because we wanted to get that 13 on 13 game in training,” Radford said.
The former Hull FC boss also confirmed that a number of youngsters have been promoted to the first-team.
“We’ve promoted a few young guys before Christmas and they have gone from three nights a week, part-time whilst on a college program to jumping in with us, running 7k in a week and to 24 in a week.
“A couple have broken down on the way!”
Among Radford’s new signings already are the likes of Jake Mamo, Kenny Edwards and Mahe Fonua, rounding off an impressive-looking squad for 2022.
