Carcassone have signed Catalans halfback Lucas Albert upon completion of the Dragons’ season.
The 22-year-old made his senior debut in 2015 and has since gone on to make over 50 appearances for Catalans as well as earning several caps for France.
He has, however, fallen out of favour in 2020, featuring just twice under Steve McNamara.
Born in Carcassone, he will now return to his hometown club within the next month to compete in the French Elite One Championship, linking up with former Super League players including Jacob Emmitt and Garry Lo.
On the signing, Carcassone said: “Lucas has one desire and that is to rediscover the pleasure of playing. There is youth and quality on all lines at Carcassonne XIII this year.”
