Bradford Bulls reportedly set to complete signing of fan favourite

Bradford Bulls are reportedly set to complete the signing of a former fan favourite in time for their fixture against Halifax Panthers.

That’s according to Bradford journalist and reporter The Game Caller who was commentating on Bradford’s 8-6 victory over London Broncos yesterday.

That victory at Cherry Red Records lifted the Bulls into sixth following four wins from six games.

The Game Caller tweeted: “As I said on the commentary earlier today, I’m hearing that the move for the Bradford Bulls to significantly strengthen their squad by bringing back a former favourite could be completed in time for the Halifax Panthers game on Good Friday.”

Bradford boss John Kear will be hoping that the former ‘fan favourite’ will be able to inspire the West Yorkshire club to greatness in 2020 after a few barren years in the Championship.

Meanwhile, one of their main promotion rivals Featherstone Rovers have some good news heading into the next few weeks.

Former Castleford Tigers forward Jesse Sene-Lefao was in great form by the end of 2021 and was close to signing for the Salford Red Devils before the move broke down.

However, moving from a full-time environment to a part-time one is always a difficult transition, and, following a severe injury in round one when Sene-Lefao dislocated his shoulder, it’s been a long time coming back.

The Samoan international posted on Instagram: “The grind has been real! At times Iโ€™ve had thoughts of giving up, thoughts of doing half of the rehab reps and at times thinking is it even worth it?

“In the Championship comp that I’m in, a lot of the work that needs to be done to get back is done alone. Physio and trainers sends you the program and itโ€™s up to you if you do it ! (p.s our physio and trainers have full time jobs outside of rugby).

“This is very different to what I’m used to over the last 13 yearsย  Usually you have a physio/trainers with you everyday watching every rep and keeping time making sure your hitting targets. Treatment 5-7 days a week and they take advantage of any improvements to get a step ahead of the recovery period.

“Iโ€™m almost at full training now but still a few weeks off playing !

“I was amazed how much support I had around me. Old trainers Iโ€™ve worked with old physioโ€™s reaching out and even the old club reaching out to help with my recovery !! With what we have our Fev staff have done an awesome job getting me here โ€ฆ I owe them so much ! โค๏ธโค๏ธ

“Honestly grateful for how things work when you live with purpose and intent!

“So this photo is just a reminder to have โ€œEYES UPโ€ know what direction your going!

โ€œGRATITUDE โ€œ sometimes the help you need is the breath of life

โ€œWINNING โ€œ thatโ€™s another brick to the house that Iโ€™m trying to build…
