Injury boosts for Warrington and Wigan

Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors look set to welcome back two key players apiece for Saturday evenings crunch clash at St James’ Park.

Daryl Clark and Joe Westerman are back in the mix for the Wolves after hamstring and neck injuries, while Andre Savelio also looks set to feature.

The injured Harvey Livett and suspended Ashton Sims drop out of the squad along with Morgan Smith, who misses out on playing in his first Magic Weekend.

Shaun Wane is able to bring back captain Shaun O’Loughlin from a calf injury as well as playmaker and Man of Steel contender George Williams.

Young half-back Josh Woods is also in contention, but Thomas Leuluai will have to wait to make his return to action as he recovers from a broken jaw.

Warrington squad: Atkins, Brown, Clark, Cooper, Crosby, Dwyer, Gidley, Hill, Hughes, Jullien, King, Lineham, Patton, Philbin, Ratchford, Russell, Savelio, Westerman, Westwood.

Wigan squad: Burgess, Davies, Farrell, Field, Forsyth, Gregson, Isa, Marshall, McIlorum, Navarrete, Nuuausala, O’Loughlin, Sutton, Tautai, Tierney, Tomkins, Wells, Williams, Woods.
