Leigh Centurions are set to announce the signing of Lachlan Lam from NRL side Sydney Roosters.
That’s according to a variety of sources, including renowned Australian journalist The Mole as well as independent media site zerotackle.
Lachlan, son of Adrian, has played 31 games for the Roosters since debuting back in 2019, but is widely expected to follow his father to the Leigh Centurions as the club gears itself up for a tilt at Super League promotion in 2022.
Lam asked for 3 main signings when offered the Leigh job, the first being Caleb Aekins, second being Nene MacDonald and the final one being his own son and Roosters sensation, Lachlan Lam. The centurions have clarified they WANT promotion, and these signings will surely help this https://t.co/st0ndCEaIR

The 23-year-old has also played two international games for Papua New Guinea, again following in his father’s footsteps.
Lachlan will, however, be determined to make a name for himself in the British game and help the Centurions achieve promotion.
Leigh have already recruited heavily for the Championship season ahead with the likes of Jy Hitchcox, Joe Wardle, Ata Hingano and Caleb Aekins all making the move to the Leigh Sports Village.
The Centurions will have to contend with the likes of Featherstone Rovers, York City Knights, Halifax Panthers and Bradford Bulls in the promotion race, but they will be helped considerably by the increasing talent at their disposal.
Owner Derek Beaumont did, however, confirm the departure of Micky Higham last night, who was assistant coach.
