Two Super League players banned

Joe Greenwood and Alex Mellor have both been issued two-match bans following the latest disciplinary review of Super League action.

The RFL’s Match Review Panel cited Greenwood for a Grade C High Tackle during Wigan’s game against St Helens on Friday.

Mellor, meanwhile, was found guilty of Grade C Striking in Leeds defeat to Wakefield on Thursday night.

Richie Myler and Oliver Holmes were issued with cautions for their altercation in the Leeds-Castleford match last Monday, while Robert Lui was also cautioned for a Dangerous Throw.

Sanctions: Joe Greenwood (Wigan) – Grade C High Tackle – 2 Match Penalty Notice

Alex Mellor (Leeds) – Grade C Striking – 2 Match Penalty Notice

Cautions: Oliver Holmes (Castleford) – Kicking opponent

Richie Myler (Leeds) – Striking

Robert Lui (Leeds) – Dangerous Throw
