Super League Referee Appointments: Jack Smith given major fixture

The officiating teams for Round Five of the Super League have now been confirmed.

With every game this season being shown live on Sky Sports, once again, every game has a video referee assigned.

One of the biggest games of the round, at the top end of the table, is Salford Red Devils v Wigan Warriors, with Chris Kendall being given the nod to officiate. He’ll be joined by Tom Grant as his video ref, who will move onto the field to officiate Huddersfield Giants v Hull KR two days later.

Jack Smith, meanwhile, has the task of keeping order in Leeds Rhinos v St Helens, in what promises to be a feisty affair under the Headingley lights on Friday. His video referee will be Liam Moore.

Chris Kendall’s weekend will be rounded off as video referee for London Broncos v Warrington Wolves, where Super League youngest referee, Liam Rush will referee.
