Joey Lussick will join Parramatta Eels in 2021, signing a one-year deal with the NRL club to end the uncertainty over his future.
Salford had offered Lussick a new deal but the Australian held out and now has his wish of a return to the NRL.
He joined the Red Devils from Manly in 2018 and has starred under Ian Watson, becoming one of Super League’s most consistent hookers.
Lussick has played in a Grand Final and Challenge Cup Final over the last 12 months and will return to the NRL a more complete player following his time in England.
He joins Tom Opacic and Isaiah Papali’i in signing for the Eels next season after they joined from North Queensland Cowboys and New Zealand Warriors respectively.
Speaking on the trio of signings, Parramatta general manager Mark O’Neill said: “We are excited to welcome Tom, Isaiah and Joey and I have no doubt that these three men will be a great cultural fit with our the club.
“All players will add class, depth and balance to our overall squad and they will be relocating from their current destinations in readiness for the 2021 pre-season.”
