Price happy with second shutout

Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price was happy his side managed to shutout a team for the second time this season.

They beat Wakefield Trinity 36-0 on Sunday. It is the second time it has happened, they beat St Helens 19-0 in Round Two.

He said: “We pride ourselves on being strong defensively. They asked us a lot of questions, especially on our right edge around Jacob Miller.

“Two in the season is a good start, and I would like to see it continue to grow.”

He also reserved praise for Ben Currie, who managed to run 90m to score a try for the Wire.

Price added: “It takes a long time to recover from ACL injuries. They can be challenging to your mindset.

“You’re seeing the best of Ben Currie now, and there is still more to come.

“He’s getting his speed back, and he is making some really good combinations with Gareth Widdop.”
