Jon Wilkin says Super League side are “rattled” ahead of big fixture

Super League pundit Jon Wilkin claims there are major "alarm bells" at Salford Red Devils.

Leeds Rhinos have been up and down all season.

After a disappointing defeat to Wakefield last time out, they battered Huddersfield Giants going into tomorrow’s game against Warrington Wolves.

“The performance they put out against Wakefield Trinity two weeks ago was regarded by fans as one of the worst of the Super League era,” Bill Arthur said on Sky Sprots.

“Some of the stick they received on social media, you might have expected Headingley to be half empty but they have turned up tonight the fans and players.

“They look like a different side.”

Then Jon Wilkin laid down the challenge to the Rhinos:

“The challenge, as I said, is to do this next week. To do it when people are maybe not expecting it, when the atmosphere isn’t as big as this.

“Champion teams have a habit of turning up when you least expect them to and keep turning up and Leeds that has been their issue, consistently turning up.

“They have an opportunity to go on a run and get to the big dance again.”

He then suggested that after Warrington’s defeat against Castleford, they could be rattled as they take on Leeds:

“Just got to watch that Warrington game. It is an interesting game. Leeds will be riding high.

“Warrington, everyone is looking at them and asking where their confidence is at, are they rattled now?”
