Further reports that Hull KR are set to complete mega signing

There have now been further reports of a massive Super League transfer involving Hull KR.

There seems to be a merry-go-round ongoing at Catalans Dragons with regards to wingers. Tom Johnstone is expected to go to Wakefield Trinity should they achieve promotion but the Dragons reportedly have a replacement in mind.

They are reportedly set to sign St Helens legend Tommy Makinson for the 2025 season but will maybe require another winger with Tom Davies also reportedly set to leave.

Despite interest from St Helens, Hull KR have been regarded as front runners and now another source has reported that Davies is bound for Hull KR.

Stuart Pyke of Sky Sports has reported that the winger is set to join Hull KR despite the interest from St Helens.

This transfer news raises questions about the future of legendary winger Ryan Hall.

Hall has become an important part of the Robins’ three-quarter line over the last three seasons. The 36-year-old has not only impressed in front of the try line, but the number 5’s metres out of back play and defence has been key to the Robins’ most impressive performances over the past two seasons.

He is in his 18th season as professional rugby season, having already made 5 appearances this season.

Last March when Hall agreed a new deal, he was happy to get the deal signed and focus on the season ahead: “It’s great to get this news out and confirm what I’m doing next year. I Still feel good.

“You don’t see many 35-year-old wingers knocking about, but my body feels good and I still feel like I can produce on the field.

“I’ve really enjoyed the progression here at Hull KR. I think we’ve been making big strides that have helped us become a better team all around. I’ve enjoyed being a part of that and hopefully we can keep going on that same trajectory as a club and really achieve something.”

Hull KR Head Coach, Willie Peters added: “We are delighted Ryan has agreed to go around again for another season. Hally indicated after I got the job that he wanted to play again next season, and he’s certainly earned this contract extension.

“Ryan (Hall) is a professional who knows his body and he’s a great role model for our younger players on what it takes to be a Super League player. He is a great example that age is only a number.”

But with Davies headed through the door what does it mean for Hall?
