Former Castleford Tigers forward signs contract with Championship club

Former Castleford Tigers forward Brad Day has committed his future to Featherstone Rovers by extending his stay at the Millennium Stadium. Apart from a brief sabbatical to Newcastle in 2022, the powerful back-rower has been a stalwart of the Rovers side since he joined the club in 2019, a year in which he clinched the Player of the Year title.

Brad is sponsored by Chiorino, a company that has increased their support in the club heading into the new season. We’re grateful to Phil Biggin and his team at Chiorino for their loyal support of the club.

Brad Day: “I’m happy to have signed for another year. As many of the other boys are, I’m still disappointed with how last year ended. We know next year is going to be a different challenge, but it’s something that I’m looking forward to playing in front of the blue wall once again”.

James Ford added: We’re delighted to retain Brad. He’s powerful in contact, runs strong lines and works incredibly hard on the field. He had some solid games for us at the back end of the season, especially against Toulouse away. We’ll work hard with him to ensure we get an even better version for 2024.”

The club have put together a fantastic squad so far for next year signing Super League players like Greg Minikin from Warrington Wolves, Nathan Massey from Castleford Tigers and halfback Ben Reynolds from the Leigh Leopards.

They have lost 17 players like Daniel Smith, Luke Briscoe and Joey Leluia.
