Wigan Warriors’ Kai Pearce-Paul has become one of the brightest young stars in Super League in recent seasons.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that the rangy back-rower has been attracting multiple clubs from the NRL.
And, according to the West Australian, Pearce-Paul is reportedly heading for the Newcastle Knights.
It echoes the news that Pearce-Paul had teamed up with major agent Sam Ayoub as five clubs reportedly circled the teenager a month ago.
Pearce-Paul has been in fine form for Wigan in the past two seasons and has alerted the southern hemisphere which has prompted a number of NRL clubs to keep tabs on him.
And, theĀ Daily Telegraph previously reported that Ayoub – often hailed as the world’s most powerful agent – linked up with Peace-Paul’s manager, Iestyn Harris, in order to handle negotiations with NRL sides.
After bursting onto the scene with the London Broncos, Peace-Paul impressed enough to be given a long-term deal by Wigan Warriors.
Debuting in 2021, the rangy back-rower or centre looked comfortable at the highest level with a wicked offload and a physicality that makes him difficult to tackle.
His form in 2022 was impressive enough to earn Pearce-Paul a spot in Shaun Wane’s 30-man England squad, but then disaster struck with injury.
