Super League side suffer huge blow

Hull KR Jesse Sue is tackled. He faces Super League disciplinary action.

Hull KR have been doing it tough lately with injuries and just as things were starting to get better it seems they have gotten a whole lot worse last weekend at the Magic Weekend.

They have suffered a huge triple blow.

Willie Peters gave the following update on Jesse Sue and Lachlan Coote after the defeat to Salford Red Devils:

“Jesse’s done a hamstring. Again we need to look at the severity of that but like any hamstring it’s going to be a few weeks for sure. Lachlan Coote failed his HIA.”

However, Hull KR have now confirmed that Sue will be out long term with a hamstring issue.

Today, Willie Peters also gave an update on James Batchelor after he was stretchered off.

He said:

“So obviously he got released from hospital up in Newcastle and then he started, he still felt some tingles down his neck,” he said.

“Gemma, who’s our team doctor, has done an outstanding job with him, sent him to Hull Hospital here, who have been marvellous.

“So he was in there for a few days and then just released him. He was actually in training. He came training today to say good day to the guys, say hi to the fellas.

“But he’s going to be in a neck brace now for possibly the next sort of eight weeks and then they’ll look to see after that when he’s returned to plays.

“But the most important thing for Batch now is just to get that neck sorted in terms of important thing for Batch now is just to get that neck sorted in terms of he’s got a little bit of pins and needles in his arm, but that’s going, which is the main thing.”
