London Broncos release stylish new home kit for Super League return

Plenty of teams have already released their new playing shirts for the 2024 season but newly promoted London Broncos have now launched theirs today in a bid to take advantage of Black Friday shoppers.

The Broncos earned promotion in incredible fashion after having sat as low as eleventh at times during their 2023 Championship campaign.

Despite those struggles they went from relegation contenders to play-off hopefuls and from there they went on an incredible gauntlet to secure their promotion.

The Broncos went on the road three times in the play-offs defeating Sheffield Eagles, League Leaders Shield winners Featherstone Rovers before ultimately heading to France to defeat Toulouse Olympique.

That victory in sunny southern France ensured the capital’s team would be playing in Super League for the first time since their relegation season under Danny Ward in 2021.

Now back in the big time they’ve launched their 2024 shirt and it can be pre-ordered at a discounted rate on account of today being Black Friday.

The club shared their slick new blackout jersey with a single red and white hoop on the sleeve via their social media.

It marks the end of a positive week for the Broncos after they had announced the re-signing of last season’s Championship Player of the Year Dean Parata.

Announcing the contract extension for the 32-year-old, the Broncos released the following statement.

“London Broncos are delighted to announce that Dean Parata, sponsored by AIB Freeholds, has signed a new contract to remain with the club next season.

“The 32 year old, who won the joint Betfred Championship Player of the Year award for 2023, can’t wait to get back into the thick of it and is very much looking forward to being a part of this London team in the Super League.”

He added: β€œI’m excited to spend another year at the Broncos.

β€œSuper League needs a team from London in the competition and I’m happy to play my small role in ensuring we stay there.”

They also managed to tie down former Super League man Rob Butler, also taking to their site to announce the news.

“London Broncos are delighted to announce that Rob Butler, sponsored by AIB Freeholds, has signed a new contract to remain with the club next season.

“The 25 year old, who made 17 appearances in 2023 after re-signing with us in June, is relishing the thought of getting back onto the pitch next year and is hoping to bring the form from the final months of the 2023 season into the Super League.

Butler explained: β€œReally excited to be back home where it all started and back in Super League.

β€œWe finished the season strong and hopefully we can take that into this next season and to be a part that all is great.”
