Leigh Leopards continue to lead the way in fan interaction with incredible membership opportunities

Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont

Leigh Leopards are a club that have had a transformative 12 months and whilst there’s plenty of people involved with the organisation, it’s owner Derek Beaumont who needs the ultimate recognition.

When it was announced that the then Centurions were to rebrand and become Leigh Leopards, he was ridiculed. When the shirt was then released with a leopards face imprinted across the chest, he was ridiculed. However when the Leopards took to the field, the critics went quiet.

Leigh had a brilliant return season to Super League as they earned play-off rugby for the first time in the summer era, whilst also lifting the Challenge Cup trophy for the first time since 1971.

The on-field success was evident but the club have now become one of the leaders in matchday experience thanks to the incredible music events that they have put on pre-match, the likes of Scouting for Girls, T’Pau and other local rising bands have all performed to give fans more for their money.

That’s what the Leopards are doing once again this off-season with their membership initiatives and they’ve already confirmed that their platinum membership has sold out.

Leigh took to social media yesterday to advertise their Red Membership card, as advertised by Mr Beaumont himself who explained all the perks that a fan would earn when purchasing it.

For an adult the Red Membership comes in at £60, something that can be paid up front or across six months at £10 a month which is also a huge perk for fans during such hard financial times.

For the £60 a fan would receive their membership card in a presentation box as well as:

– access to two Super League games of their choice

-priority option to reserve tickets for all other home games

-digital programme for pre-game and a hard copy provided on gameday

-discount codes for brand partners when using your membership card

-Leigh Leopards heritage number certificate ( unique ID, similar to player heritage numbers. It will never be reissued, even if not renewed, and will be encased in the club’s history)

-Priority on all events prior to general sale in tier order Black/Platinum/Gold/White/Red ahead of general sale

-5% Discount on away league games when presenting your membership card

There are also other minor perks but the fact the Leopards have managed to integrate a discount at other Super League clubs into their own membership is an incredible feat.

Making such an affordable way to support a club speaks volumes to the sense of community that has been created at the Leigh Sports Village, and it’s something that will surely put them in good stead moving forwards.
