Sky Sports presenter says this Super League club are “leading the way”

Every time Wigan Warriors have featured on Sky Sports this year they have pushed the boat out a little more.

First the Warriors allowed Jon Wells to sit in their halftime team talk.

Then the Warriors shared their game plan for their clash with Salford Red Devils with Wells and then ahead of the Battle of the Borough they allowed Jenna Brooks to ride on their coach to the game.

Thus, Brooks hailed Wigan as a club leading the way on Sky:

“We have to say about the Wigan Warriors, what they have given us access to as fans and viewers, they are leading the way, Matt Peet has been brilliant.

“Letting fans know how players think and how coaches work, they are leading the way are the Wigan club so thank you for all that access and information.”

This came as Salford Red Devils coach Paul Rowley praised the Warriors:

“Unbelievable from Wigan in that second half, I have learnt a few things there such as don’t let your heart rule your head and that Wigan are made of sterner stuff than maybe we thought.

“Emotions can sometimes get the better of you, after the good start they had, they had a bit of a lull and they had the energy sapped out of them pretty quickly and Wigan played the long game.

“These are not Championship players who have come up, they are Super League and NRL players who are playing for Leigh.”
