Leeds Rhinos set to stream worldwide for Boxing Day match-up

Leeds Rhinos are set to play Wakefield Trinity on Boxing day in their traditional Festive Challenge Game and they’ve announced that fans from all around the world will be able to watch via a live stream.

Rhinos kick off at 11.30 against Trinity in a game that has become tradition and effectively marks the countdown to the new season.

The club have announced via Twitter and their website that fans will be able to watch no matter where they are in the world, a great initiative considering how many people find themselves isolated during the festive period.

To do so the Rhinos have paired up with Our League and in a statement on their website they informed fans of this great opportunity to see new faces for the first time.

“Leeds Rhinos have teamed up with Our League to offer Rugby League fans around the world the chance to watch our traditional Boxing Day clash against Wakefield Trinity, live from Headingley Stadium, kick off 11.30am.

“The Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge will see Rohan Smith’s side take on Wakefield Trinity, with both sides fielding their new look squads for the 2023 season.

“Leeds’ squad will include new signings Justin Sangare, Derrell Olpherts, Leon Ryan, James McDonnell and Toby Warren whilst there is a welcome return from injury for Aidan Sezer, Morgan Gannon and Tom Holroyd, who all missed the end of last season on the sidelines.”

This is the second season running that Rhinos have led with this initiative and fans who book early, before midnight on Christmas day, will see the price more than halved what it is on Boxing Day.

“For the second year running, the game will be streamed live on Our League with professional commentary, who will be joined by a member of the Rhinos squad to given extra added insight as the expert summariser.

“The game will be available to fans at a cost of £4.95 if booked before midnight on Christmas Day, please be aware the price will rise to £10 on the day of the game, so fans are encouraged to purchase in advance of game day. In order to purchase the game, you need to be logged into your Our League account on the rugby-league.com website”

Fans will also be able to purchase the game to watch on replay if they failed to buy it and want to catch up.
