Whether it’s Leeds – Rovers or Saints -Wigan on Friday night rugby a winners a winner .
No doubt the game at Headingley has the most at stake as Leeds look for a 3rd win on the spin and a 4th win in 6 that would move them 4 points ahead of there opponents with only 7 games left . Whereas a Rovers win would put them level with the Rhinos , and 2 points off the bottom with a far superior points difference to London .
No surprise the bookies think Leeds will win here super League sponsors Betfred going 4/11 for a home win .
Rovers recent form isn’t that bad , they’ve won 3 of their last 6 , their away form though is dreadful losing their last 7 . They did though win at Salford in the cup and at magic weekend .
Their last 2 defeats on their road were very disappointing, getting smashed at Wigan and the damaging defeat at London . All this points to a home win for the Rhinos by around 6-10 points ,I’d certainly want more than 5/2 for an away win .
The positive noises coming out of Leeds now seems justified and unlike their opponents you feel Leeds seem confident they can avoid the drop .
Leeds concede an 8 point start on the handicap which is quite a lot in what could be a tight affair , but I do think they can just get home .
Robert Lui seems to have transformed Leeds season and he’d by my man of the match pick at around 8/1 . Returning Rhinos McGuire and Parcell head the market for Rovers both at 9/1 , I’d just prefer Parcell .
