Wigan Warriors are set to make history in the 2022 Super League season.
They will be the first Super League side to play two French teams in back-to-back weeks in the competition’s history.
The Warriors have a date with newly-promoted side Toulouse Olympique on Saturday 5 March at the Stade Ernest Wallon and will then play the Catalans Dragons at the Stade Gilbert Brutus a week later.
It’s a daunting task for Wigan in just rounds four and five of the 2022 Super League season and will be a major ask for Matt Peet in his first year as Wigan head coach following the departure of Adrian Lam.

Peet was appointed the Warriors’ new boss with Sean O’Loughlin and Lee Briers appointed as his two assistants, with Shaun Wane taking a leadership role upon his return to the DW Stadium.
The Warriors finished fourth last season, but exited the play-offs at the first time of asking when Leeds Rhinos visited in an 8-0 loss.
More is expected of Wigan next time around, however, with new signings Cade Cust, Abbas Miski, Patrick Mago and Kaide Ellis bringing a wealth of NRL experience, whilst Iain Thornley knows how the club ticks having spent his time growing up at Wigan to become a professional.
Meanwhile, Ramon Silva becomes the first Brazilian player to make it to a Super League side after he joined the club from London Broncos.
