Bradford Bulls reportedly given date for major stadium development

Bradford Bulls' Odsal Stadium - a Championship ground.

The lease for the famous stadium of the Bradford Bulls – Odsal – is still up in the air.

The club are one of a number of parties who have pushed for the lease after the Rugby Football League opened up the lease to new bids with Knight Frank reportedly overseeing the different bids.

According to The Game Caller, a decision is expected by May with the Bradford Bulls believing they have made the best bid, which came at the end of January.

The club are hoping that having the lease of the stadium will enable them to make the necessary strides they need to improve the stadium and boost their IMG score which is something they outlined after their meeting against Wakefield Trinity.

Anyone who wants to question the Bradford Bulls and their commitment to their fans and their place at Odsal should see the amazing work they’ve done with their Western Terrace.

They made the following statement: “We gave individuals, businesses and charities the opportunity to enter our exclusive raffle for just £500 – which would give them naming rights to one of the most famous terraces in Rugby League.

“The draw took place on a Teams call with all raffle entrants invited to watch Bulls vice-captain Jordan Lilley do the honours.

“Branding will be produced and in place for our Betfred Championship home opener against Halifax Panthers on Friday 29th March, with Ian kindly donating some of his advertising space to the Tobias Crowther Foundation.

“Tobias Crowther Barraclough (Toby) was involved in a road traffic accident and sadly passed away on 12th November aged 18. The Foundation was established to honour Toby’s life, which will involve a series of fundraising events, spread out across the year to raise money for a variety of charities.”

Bradford Bulls’ Commercial Manager Ian Stafford said:

“I’d like to congratulate Ian Patchett at Nicola Kay Mortgages on being the lucky winner of our Western Terrace raffle.

“We look forward to working with Ian to provide his new venture with some exposure to the many visitors at Bartercard Odsal Stadium throughout the year.

“Ian has also made the very generous offer to also publicise the Tobias Crowther Foundation as part of his branding package, to raise exposure and funds following Tobias’ tragic passing last year.

“Ian was one of 14 entrants we received, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their support, it is very much appreciated by us all here.

“Branding will be in place for the 2024 season before we re-launch our raffle for 2025 following impressive demand this time around.”

Why are you routinely ignoring the people that run motorsport there now in articles like this, do they not have a say, after all it was they that got the stadium open again after the various issues with the rugby club
