Yesterday morning, Leeds Rhinos released a news snippet that gave an update on Zak Hardaker.
Their new signing – who joined just a fortnight ago – was now back in full training following a suspected seizure outside his home in Pontefract.
From the moment news broke about his medical situation, he rugby league fraternity has been worried about the 30-year-old, hoping for good news and a swift recovery.
And, Leeds confirmed just that yesterday, with the former Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers star cleared to play.
As such, Hardaker could make his debut against Salford Red Devils on Sunday afternoon at the AJ Bell Stadium in what will be one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year so far.
Hardaker himself took to social media last night after being tagged in a post on Instagram by the official Leeds page.
On it was a photo of the 30-year-old training as Hardaker captioned it briefly: “It’s good to be back.”
Hardaker’s move to Leeds two weeks ago shocked the rugby league world, with the rangy fullback or centre having left Headingley under a cloud back in 2016.
He went on a short-term deal to Penrith Panthers in the NRL before spending a year at Castleford and then over three years at the DW Stadium with Wigan.
