Youth development on Marshall’s radar

Salford Red Devils Head Coach Richard Marshall said he hopes to bring in a Youth Development Programme during his time at the club.

Marshall replaced Ian Watson in the role ahead of the new season, and hopes to carry on the work of the new Huddersfield coach.

He said: “This club has had success in recent years, in terms of getting to finals. They didn’t win any, but have been consistent in getting there.

“With that come expectation. I am looking forward to improving individuals, that is my remit. I want to improve players, and create a Youth Development Programme, which we don’t have at the moment.

“That is definitely on my radar. I want to do similar to what Ian Watson did, but just doing a few little things differently.”
