Yorkshire club rewards important duo with new two-year contracts

Featherstone Rovers have announced that Josh Hardcastle and Callum Field have signed new two-year deals that will extend the duo’s stay at the Millennium Stadium to the end of the 2023 season.

Hardcastle, 28, has played all of his professional career at Rovers since debuting in 2017.

Field, meanwhile, burst onto the scene as a Wigan Warriors academy player in 2017, making ten appearances for the club before moving on-loan to the likes of Swinton Lions and Dewsbury Rams.

A permanent move to Featherstone came about ahead of the 2021 season after being with Leigh for two seasons.

Hardcastle – a centre or winger – and Field – a forward – have been key components of Rovers’ charge to Super League.

Both are likely to be in action when Rovers take on York tomorrow night as the Yorkshire club try to close the gap between themselves and Toulouse at the top of the Championship.

Featherstone currently sit second with 14 wins from 15 games.
