York re-sign former Leeds forward

York have made former Leeds Rhinos forward Josh Jordan-Roberts their 20th signing for next season.

The 21-year-old signed for the City Knights in 2018 and has since gone on to play 28 times, scoring three tries.

A Leeds academy product, Jordan-Roberts made two appearances for the Rhinos after debuting in 2016 and has also had loan spells with Bradford and Hunslet.

“I’m really pleased to be resigning with the club,” he said. “I’ve really enjoyed my time with the club since signing mid way through the 2018.

“The club is certainly on the rise and I’m looking forward to what’s to come in 2020 both on and off the field.”

Knights head coach James Ford added: “Josh has the potential to be a good player for York if he is willing to work hard at one or two areas of his game.

“He’s still very young and has played plenty of first team rugby at a solid level – but as everyone at the club realises we strive for much more than solid.

“The challenge has been set and I’m looking forward to seeing Josh succeed.”
