York City Knights reveal radically new logo as club create modern & sleek look as they also change name

It’s a new era at York City Knights.

The club has gone from strength to strength as they’ve grown into a real force in the Championship.

They’ve climbed out of League 1 and made the play-offs this year in the Championship.

With a star-studded squad, a great stadium, the City Knights are on the up and are a team many believe we could see in Super League soon under the new IMG proposals.

They recently played at Wembley in 1895 Cup Final last year in a show of their ambition, but of course it is indeed a new era at York following James Ford’s departure.

The man who masterminded their rise has headed to Wakefield in 2023 to be Mark Applegarth’s assistant coach as Trinity look to head in a new direction next year.

This has left York needing a new direction and it’s one they’ve taken with a brand new look for 2023 having released a radically new logo for 2023 and beyond.

With a black base and a splash of yellow, the look of the new logo is modern and sleek and many have already praised the step which has been much more successful than some of their Super League rivals.

The club are also rebranding as York RLFC with the men seen as the Knights and their very successful women’s team the Valkyries.
