York City Knights have unveiled their new kit for the 2022 Championship season.
Both the men’s and women’s shirts continue with the Knights’ traditional colours of white, amber and black.
York’s principal kit incorporates a new twist on a classic design with a camouflage effect sitting on a white background with amber hoops and black stripes completing the look. The amber and black collar contrasts nicely against the white body and is a slightly deeper v-neck design. Black piping around the sleeves completes the shirt which has already proven popular with the Men’s First-Team Squad.
2022’s alternate shirt sees a traditional rugby league design incorporated into our amber and black colourway, creating a striking look for next season. A predominantly amber shirt, the shoulders and chest are black with black stripes where the two meet. The reverse of the shirt is solely black and the design will no doubt spring comparison with a shirt worn by the Knights in 2015.
York St John University, the club’s principal partner, continue to be feature as the main front of shirt sponsor as well as on the upper back, while Autohorn Fleet Services are once again featured on the right chest.
Hilton York, short sponsors in 2021, return to the collar position they occupied in 2020 while Burflex Scaffolding, York City Knights Foundation’s Main Headline Partner since the start of this year, are a new addition to the shirt, featuring on the lower left sleeve.
Above them are the logos of Laufenn and York Tyre Sales, another partner who joined the Knights in 2021 and have now enhanced their partnership for the coming year.
On the opposite sleeve, Ice Cubed Property Finance – a 2021 player sponsor – has also boosted their partnership, appearing on the upper right sleeve, above the Betfred Championship logo.
Ellgren – the major new sponsor on board for 2022 – is also featured.
