York City Knights have announced the signing of Wakefield Trinity forward Yusuf Aydin on an initial two-week loan deal.
Aydin, 20, made his Super League debut for the club last season against Hull FC and made his international bow for Turkey in 2019 in a match against Malta in Sydney.
He could make his debut on Sunday against Sheffield Eagles at the LNER Community Stadium.
On signing for the Knights, Aydin said: “I’m here to get some more game time and experience. I want to learn off these lads and, hopefully, they can learn a bit from me as well.
“I had Fordy as a teacher and, if his coaching is anything like that, he’s just straight and direct with you as well as wanting the best for you.”
Head Coach James Ford added: “He was in my last form as a teacher. He’s always shown a pretty solid attitude towards learning and he is a tough, uncompromising middle who brings some aggression to the team.”
