York City Knights have announced their squad numbers ahead of the new season.
The numbers were announced at a fans forum at St John’s University last night.
New signings Will Sharp, Ben Johnston and Danny Washbrook are all in the top 13. They take squad numbers five, six and 11 respectively.
Other new signings James Green, Chris Clarkson and Elliot Wallis have been numbers 15,16 and 24.
The number three shirt is vacated for the time being, while the number 18 is dedicated to the memory of fans who are no longer with us.
They are back in action in the new year when they welcome Featherstone Rovers to the new York Community Stadium for their first pre-season friendly on Sunday January 5th.
The Knights are hoping to build on last year’s third place finish in the Championship.
