Yates loses appeal
Luke Yates of Salford Red Devils receives a cut to his right cheek
Salford Red Devils forward Luke Yates has lost his appeal against his one-match penalty notice.
Yates was charged by the Match Review Panel for his challenge on Danny Houghton in last week’s victory against Hull FC in Warrington.
He has also been given a £500 fine.
The forward will now miss Salford’s Challenge Cup Semi-Final against Warrington Wolves on Saturday.
Earlier, Dan Sarginson had his ban overturned.
