Wigan Warriors were blown away today in the Magic Weekend.
The Warriors conceded eight tries to Catalans Dragons and at one stage trailed 46-8 and only a late rally from the Warriors made the scoreline respectable.
Peet wasn’t happy saying it “certainly wasn’t good enough” from the Warriors.
Neither were the fans.
So how did social media react to Wigan’s defeat?
One fan called for serious questions to be asked of the higher ups as Wigan conceded 40 points for the second time in four weeks.
It's absolutely embarrassing
Serious questions need to be asked about the coaching setup, recruitment, and overall leadership and commitment of these players.

Others slammed what they felt was a poor game plan by the Warriors.
Genuine question for management. Having struggled against big packs all season, why try and beat Catalan through the middle ?
Game is over and Wigan start spreading the ball across the park and quick ruck speed and look a different side.
Poor performance and poor game plan.

The word “embarrassed” was used very frequently across the Warriors’ fans.
Battered and embarrassed defensively!

One fan felt it was a sign the Warriors aren’t up to scratch against the top teams.
They even said “Peet has to go” which surely has to be an overreaction.
Same old shit when we play someone half decent
Peet has to go

Meanwhile as one fan slammed the defence, they said they wouldn’t even beat a lower league side:
Won't beat lower league sidea if you don't tackle legs. Allowed Catalans way too much momentum. We need some big men back sharpish and if Wigan don't announce a signing soon, I.e. a prop and a conversion specialist, they are deluded.

But for most Wigan fans, the word was “embarrassing.”
This Wigan fan said:
Beaten? Embarassed again this season. Fucking shite.
