Huddersfield Giants Head Coach Simon Woolford says his side got exactly what they deserved after their 13-12 defeat against Leeds Rhinos.
The Giants led 10-0 at half time, but couldn’t get over the line. It was the second time since the restart they had lost by a point to the Rhinos.
He said: “It wasnt the way we lost, it was the way it happened. Full credit to Leeds, they stuck in there. They are a team that has learned how to hang in there in games.
“We got what we deserved in the end- we were so good defensively in the first half, then in the first set in the second half, they came right through us.
“We talked about individuals not doing their jobs right often enough. It’s no good to have a good 40,50 or 60 minutes, you have to play for 80 minutes. Right now, we have individuals that cant do it.
“I’m over the excuses. It’s not an age thing. To get our jobs wrong straight after half-time, that’s not fatigue, it’s concentration and attention to detail.”
