Woolf unsure on Bentley injury

St Helens Head Coach says he does not know the details of the injury suffered by James Bentley in their 22-12 win over Leigh Centurions.

Bentley went down after his leg was caught in a tackle in the closing stages of the match. It resulted in Bentley being stretchered off the pitch with his leg in a brace.

Woolf said he did not want to speculate on what it was, but it was a lower leg injury.

He said: “It didnt look nice on the video. It’s a lower leg injury- I don’t want to speculate on what it might be. But I know it’s a lower leg injury.

“It certainly needs some X rays and scans. We are certainly hoping for the best.

“Indications are that it might not be a good one. But there is no certainty around what it is just yet.”
