St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf has confirmed Lachlan Coote and Tommy Makinson were both taken off as a precaution.
Both players failed to finish Saints’ 34-6 win over Wakefield Trinity on Friday night, but Woolf played down any suggestion of serious injury.
He said: “Tommy we took off precautionary. He’s got either an ankle or a foot injury, but we just did it to be cautious, and make sure we do not aggravate anything for next week.
“We also took Lachlan Coote off with about ten minutes to go. That was just because it was his second game, his loads in terms of what he has had to do has increased in the last couple of weeks, compared to what he was able to do prior to that.
“That was just a precaution, and us looking after him.
“Outside of that, everyone else is OK.”
