Woolf keen to emulate Saints performance against Dragons

St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf has said he took a lot from their last game against Catalans Dragons.

The pair met in the first Super League game since lockdown, with Saints claiming an impressive 34-6 victory, starting a run of 10 straight victories.

Woolf says it will not help his team on Friday, but he is hopeful they can take the good out of that game and put it into this one.

He said: “We did a lot of good things in that game, and we handled a lot of things well, defensively. It is always good to look back on games like that, to see what you did well.

“We can look at the games recently as well to see what the Dragons did well and what we can do against them and how we handle it.

“It doesn’t really help us this week, because we are both different teams now. But it will be on both team’s minds. I will definitely be having a look at it.”
