Willie Peters makes two Hull KR changes as Robins dealt play-off injury boost

Hull KR boss Willie Peters has made two changes to his 21-man squad to take on Warrington Wolves in the Super League play-off semi-finals. The Robins take on Warrington at Craven Park with the winner claiming the first spot at next week’s Grand Final at Old Trafford.

It’s expected to be a closely tested encounter, with KR and Warrington finishing second and third respectively in the Super League table, but Peters has been boosted by the availability of two key men.

Evalds missed KR’s win over Leeds Rhinos last month with a head injury, but he has been cleared to be involved in the squad at the very least. Tanginoa sat out of that contest, too, having picking up a hamstring injury in the final weeks of the season.

The back-rower is back in contention this time around, though, and will hope to play a key role. With Elliot Minchella suspended, Tanginoa’s presence in the pack could be crucial for the Robins.

Peters has been able to name Oliver Gildart in the squad, as well, with the centre missing the club’s final game of the regular season due to rib pain. Youngsters Harvey Horne and Leo Tennison drop out of contention.

Sam Burgess has also named his squad, with the Warrington head coach going with the exact same 21-man group that saw off St Helens in golden point extra time last weekend, suggesting he has no fresh injury concerns.
