On Friday night Hull KR host Leeds Rhinos in what could be a brilliant clash between two exciting sides who have won three or their opening six games to start the season.
Speaking ahead of the game Hull KR boss Willie Peters gave an interesting assessment of the Rhinos:
“They’re a confidence team, when they’ve got momentum that’s how they like to play. When they don’t have momentum they’ll try and find it and get it back with some short gain moments, whether it’s a kick across field like they did last week. They’ll look for short kick-offs, short drop outs and they like to try and get momentum back that way.
“We’ll just control what we can and what we’ve done and we’re happy to keep being Hull KR because that’s who we’ve been for the first five or six weeks. We know who we are, we know our identity as a team and as I said before we need to be smarter in areas but we’ve got control of all of that.”
That said, Peters is feeling confident but will give the Rhinos their respect:
“You’re confident and need to be confident going into every game but you also need to respect the opposition. There’s no doubt that we’ve got respect for Leeds, they’re Grand Finalists from last year and they’ve just beaten Catalans. It was a great win, they had 12 men at one stage and that’s probably when they played their best.
