Willie Isa signs new two-year extension with Wigan

Willie has signed a new two-year extension with Wigan which will keep him at the Club until the end of 2023.

The 32-year-old has made 168 appearances for the Warriors since signing from Widnes Vikings in 2016 and captained the team for the first time against Catalans in September.

Isa, who has played most of his Wigan career in the second row, has won two Super League titles while at the Club and is now a firm fan favourite at the DW Stadium.

On signing his new deal, Isa told Wigan’s official club website: “I’m absolutely delighted to have a signed a new contract with this great Club.

“There are exciting times ahead under the new coaching management for the Club. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead.”

Head Coach, Matt Peet, added: “Willie Isa is an outstanding professional, he takes every opportunity to improve himself and the team.

“We are looking to build a culture and leaders like him play an important part.”
