Will Pryce reacts to first England Knights appearance and provides injury update

Last night Will Pryce stole the show with a superb performance for the England Knights. We saw his signature running game devastate the Jamaica defence and he was nearly flawless when it came to the kicking boot kicking seven goals from eight attempts.

He also created a try for Ellis Longstaff with a superbly weighted kick behind the defence. Rightly named the Man of the Match, he again reminded everyone watching of his exciting future.

That said, his night ended early when he limped off injured after his leg was trapped under a tackle. After the game he provided fans with an injury update: “Rolled over my ankle, it got stuck on the floor. It’s alright got a bit of ice on it and it’s swollen a bit but it’s alright now.”

So, nothing much to worry about for Huddersfield fans but other supporters should be worried considering his quality with the ball in hand and his huge potential. His try was yet another fabulous effort from the teenager after a season of exciting moments.

When reflecting on the score, which was like one his father might have poached in his prime, he said: “I saw the markers not really working that hard and I thought I’d show the dummy and see what was on then and luckily someone flew out. The best thing about my game is my running game and I thought I’d use it there and luckily I got through.”

When asked if he’d learnt the move from his dad, he laughed and said: “That’s all me that, I don’t want to give any credit to him anymore.
