Wigan Warriors vs Hull FC: Team news, match preview and score prediction

Two teams coming off the back of very differing Magic Weekends battle tomorrow.

Wigan were denied a huge derby win over St Helens which would see them draw level with the Champions at the top of the table by a late try.

Meanwhile, Hull FC picked up a huge derby win over Hull KR thanks to a controversially disallowed late try. After such conflicting results last week, which side will claim the win here?

Team News

Wigan have lost Brad Singleton to a two-match ban whilst John Bateman has also dropped out with an injury. Kai Pearce-Paul will likely return after missing last week through illness.

Hull FC have a like for like switch with Connor Wynne absent through suspension and replaced by Mitieli Vulikijapani after he himself served a ban.

Match Preview – Key Battles:

Jai Field vs Jack Walker: Jack Walker made a Man of the Match winning debut at the Magic Weekend but this game will be a massive test for the Leeds loanee as he looks to out perform the electric Jai Field.

Sam Powell vs Danny Houghton: Two underrated number nines in Super League who are very strong at managing games will look to boss this game. Danny Houghton especially will be key to this fixture because of his defensive ability.

Patrick Mago vs Chris Satae: Both Mago and Satae are real impact subs who come on and provide real physicality and size to their teams. The duo can turn a game on its head and could give their teams a decisive edge in this fixture.

Where the game will be won and lost:

Normally, Hull FC would fancy their chances down the middle because of their size but with so many key players out suspended especially in the middle. This will surely only allow Wigan to create more space through which Jai Field and Bevan French can shine. So Hull are going to have to do something different to down them.

Score Prediction: Wigan Warriors 26-12 Hull FC
