Wigan Warriors head coach Matt Peet has made two changes to his line up to face Huddersfield Giants this afternoon. Wigan approach the game after their success in Las Vegas last weekend and they’ll be looking to claim their first league win at the Brick Community Stadium this season.
Abbas Miski, who missed the opening game of the campaign after undergoing surgery in the off-season, will sit out of the contest. That opens the door for Zach Eckersley to step into the fray and he plays on the wing.
There’s no Patrick Mago either. That means Harvie Hill moves onto the bench after his impressive pre-season campaign in Cherry and White with the rest of the side being the same as the one that lined up at the Allegiant Stadium.
Luke Robinson has been able to name Liam Sutcliffe in the back line for the first time this season following his off-season switch from Hull FC. Adam Clune also makes his first appearance of the year, with the half-back’s presence in the side coming as a huge boost to the Giants.
Taane Milne is named on the bench and looks set to make his debut for the Giants after flying back to West Yorkshire from Australia. Matty English misses out, as do Joe Greenwood and Zac Woolford through injury.
That means Fenton Rogers starts, while Ashton Golding gts the nod at hooker. Sam Hewitt moves from centre to his natural position in the back-row, with Tom Deakin and Harry Rushton making the bench.
Huddersfield are looking for their first win of the new season having lost to Hull FC, Warrington Wolves and Leigh Leopards in the opening three rounds of the campaign.
