Wigan Warriors have suffered a huge blow as the full extent of Jai Field’s injury has been revealed.
Field limped off against Leigh Leopards at the end of the game.
It looked like a hamstring injury which caused him problems in 2021 and has dealt him a huge blow.
Field will be out for 8-10 weeks Matt Peet confirmed today in his press conference.
He said: “Jai Field is 8-10 weeks and Cade Cust will be checked every week. It’s a challenge certainly but one we look forward to. The fact Jai doesn’t need an operation is a bonus.”
It seems Cust is a week to week basis and of course it is good news that Field doesn’t require surgery.
