Wigan Warriors suffer another huge blow

Wigan Warriors

Wigan Warriors have suffered another huge blow.

The Warriors have also lost Cade Cust to injury against in recent times meanwhile they are of course doing without star player Jai Field through a hamstring injury.

Last week it was confirmed that Mike Cooper will likely be out for the season after suffering an ACL injury against St Helens due to a Morgan Knowles hip drop tackle which saw him hit with a five match ban.

Now, their pack has bigger problems with Matt Peet confirming that fellow prop Brad Singleton has been ruled out for eight weeks after a strain.

He said:

“Brad is looking at around 8-weeks with a strain which is unfortunate but that is the journey of the season.”

The Warriors take on Wakefield Trinity on Sunday and on this Peet said:

“The same as the last few weeks, it’s about our own standards. We look at ourselves first and that doesn’t change this week.”

The game takes place on St George’s Day, on this Peet said:

“We have to contribute to our supporters having a good day and a performance they can be proud of. Performance first and that should contribute to what should be a quality day.”

Lastly he spoke on squad rotation:

“We get a week off the week after then we go into a tough game away at Hull. There won’t be too much rotation but there are some players that you want to give game time to.”
